Nobuyuki Tsujii was named one of two winners of the 2009 Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Gold Medal. This CD was recorded live at Bass Performance Hall during the Thirteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth, Texas.
